PO-05-023 PROCEDURE TIME WITH A NOVEL COMPLETELY EXTRAVASCULAR TEMPORARY PACING LEAD SYSTEM

چکیده
Temporary intracardiac pacing is required for emergency and also certain interventional procedures, including the increasingly indicated transcatheter aortic valve implantation. An important condition use of temporary pacemakers a short procedure time. Current are implanted through veins using fluoroscopy, and, when in situ, bedrest required. As an alternative to this traditional approach, novel, extravascular lead (EV-TPL) being studied, which may ultimately be inserted without fluoroscopy outside cardiac catheterization laboratory. The objective analysis was characterize effect implant experience on time number attempts place novel EV-TPL that paces fixation heart. In STEP III Study (NCT04538287), subjects undergoing permanent pacemaker or ICD implantation replacement received investigational EV-TPL. placed anterior mediastinum 2-3 cm skin incision made over intercostal space at left sternal margin. All leads were by one three collaborating operators. Four sequential cohorts associated with minor device modifications studied: Cohort 1 (n=8); 2 3 (n=7) 4 (n=8). achieve capture measured as difference between creation demonstrated 10 volts 1.5 milliseconds. Thirty-one patients included (52% female, 70±11 years, BMI 26±4 kg/m2). Median times successive were: 13.5 min [IQR 5.3, 45.8] 1; 9.0 7.3, 23.5] 2; 4.0 3.0, 27.0] 3; 5.5 5.0, 12.3] 4, shown Figure. Experience placement led reduction duration variability capture, showing potential utility provide emergent situations advance procedures require pacing.

Long-term temporary pacing with an active fixation lead.
BACKGROUND Ensuring a haemodynamically effective cardiac rhythm is a challenge in patients waiting for pacemaker reimplantation after transcutaneous lead extraction due to an infection of the implanted system. AIM The authors report a retrospective analysis of temporary pacing with an active fixation lead (AFTP) connected to an externalised pacemaker in patients after transvenous lead extract...
متن کاملTemporary epicardial pacing wire removal: is it an innocuous procedure?
The safety and efficacy of temporary pericardial pacing wires have been accepted and their use is common after cardiac operations. Complications related to pacing wire removal are unusual but it can be serious and even catastrophic. We report an unusual case of bleeding due the laceration and rent created in the saphenous vein graft wall by the metallic tip of the pacing wire at the time of pac...
متن کاملProlonged temporary cardiac pacing using an external permanent pacing system.
The number of pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators implanted each year continues to grow in Spain, due largely to the increased life expectancy of the population in the case of pacemakers and the indications for primary prevention in the case of implantable cardioverter defibrillators. Although the incidence of infections associated with implantable cardiac devices is not high...
متن کاملSuccessful percutaneous extraction of pacemaker leads with a novel (VascoExtor) pacing lead removal system.
A new pacing lead extraction system (VascoExtor, VascoMed, Germany) with a universally applicable locking stylet was used over a period of 12 months to extract 25 permanent pacemaker leads (mean implantation time 3.9 +/- 3.8 years) in 16 patients who had pacemaker infection (n = 13), lead dysfunction (n = 2), or before an automatic defibrillator implant (n = 1). With use of this system, we were...
متن کاملDevelopment of a novel lot sizing model with variable lead time in supply chain environment
Supply chain management (SCM) addresses the management of materials and information across the entire chain from suppliers to producers, distributors, retailers, and customer. The theory of supply chain management suggests that lead time reduction is a pioneer to the use of market mediation to reduce transaction uncertainty in the chain, which can be conceptualized as the primary goal of supply...
